6 Things to Bring to CatCon (And 1 Thing to Leave at Home)
These are our tips for making the most of CatCon 2024!
WHAT TO BRING
1. COSPLAY. Cat ears, accessories, fashion, and kitty cosplay are encouraged!
Our roving kitty correspondents will be walking the convention center floor giving CatCon swag to the most FURRocious fashionistas!
Don’t worry, if you accidentally leave your cat ears at home, many of our exhibitors can hook you up.
Stick around Saturday August 3rd at 4 p.m. after the CAT-oure, Cosplay and Furrocious Fashion workshop for a kitty cosplay group photo by the workshop stage!
2. Your phone (DUH!) + portable charger, for all the photos you’ll take!
CatCon is FULL of one-of-a-kind photo ops, like the Mad Catter’s Tea Room, and Meet & Greets with your favorite celebricats and cat-loving celebrities! Check the schedule for Meet & Greets, and the 2024 Floor Plan for the hot spots on the exhibit floor!
Capture the fun with #catcon and #catcon2024 and be sure to follow us @catconworldwide on Instagram and Facebook and @catconofficial on TikTok!
3. A small hairbrush and lip balm or lipstick.
For those last-minute touchups to help you look your best when snapping pix with your favorite cat-loving icons and celebricats like One-Eared Uno and Prince Michael of Aaron’s Animals.
Check the schedule for all Meet & Greets!
4. Your favorite payment method. We’ve got 190+ booths full of art, fashion, jewelry and gear for you and your cat. Most of our exhibitors are equipped to handle contactless payment, but cash works, too!
5. A water bottle. Hydration is important when you’re having this much fun! The Pasadena Convention Center has water stations located near the restrooms outside the main exhibit hall.
6. Your Signficant Other, Kids, or Roommates. CatCon is an experience you’ll want to share, and if you decide to adopt a new family member from the Hill’s Pet Nutrition Adoption Village in partnership with Pasadena Humane, all family members should be present to meet the cat.
… BUT PLEASE LEAVE YOUR CAT AT HOME
Please leave your cat at home. We know some of you have extremely well-trained cats, some of whom even walk happily on-leash. But CatCon can get very loud and crowded, and even the best-behaved cat would be unhappy in that situation. To ensure the safety of our pets as well as our human guests, so we will deny entry to any attendees who show up with a cat at the door.
If you adopt a cat at CatCon, our adoption partner Pasadena Humane will take care of it until you’re ready to go. For the safety of all, you will not be permitted to walk the floor with your new cat. Read all about adoptions at CatCon here.
