Create Your Own Indoor Cat Garden

Spring is in full bloom, and we thought it’d be the perfect opportunity to pass along some instructions for creating your very own indoor cat garden. You can get as creative as you’d like, and kitty will love the taste of outside brought inside.

Step 1: Find a cool pot

Choose a pot that goes with your decor, or grab a terra cotta one and personalize it with acrylic paint.

Step 2: Add potting soil

Fill the pot with soil. You may choose to layer a handful of rocks at the bottom of the pot for drainage.

Step 3: Add your herbs

Do your research to make sure you’re filling the cat garden with plants that are safe for your kitty. Some common ones that cats enjoy are …

Mint — great for digestive trouble.

Wheatgrass — helps a feline’s digestive system stay healthy.

Rosemary — not only tasty, but doubles as a natural flea repellent.

Thyme — produces a soothing effect.

Catnip — well, it’s catnip. Chances are, your cat’s already done some experimentation with this herb of choice.

It’s that easy!
