Adopt a cat at CatCon! Pasadena Humane will help facilitate on-site adoptions at the Paw Promise Adoption Village sponsored by Nexgard® COMBO on October 10 & 11, 2026. You’ll be able to meet and take home your new cat on the same day!
At CatCon, bringing home a kitten has never been more accessible. Adoption fees are reduced to just $50 for one kitten or $65 for a pair—a significant decrease from the usual $150 single-kitten fee. These special rates are made possible through generous support from NexGard® COMBO, helping more kittens find loving homes faster.
All cats ready for adoption will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to the event. We’ll also send you home with an adoption swag bag, which will include goodies for your cat and for you!
Pasadena Humane is more than a shelter— it’s a community-supported animal resource center providing compassion and care for all animals. Since 1903, Pasadena Humane has offered lifesaving programs and services for animals and the people who love them across the Greater Los Angeles area.
At its Pasadena campus, thousands of the community’s most vulnerable animals receive shelter, dedicated care, and a chance at a fresh start each year. In addition to adoptions and foster care, Pasadena Humane helps people care for and keep their pets through services like free and low-cost spay/neuter and vaccines, a pet food pantry, and an animal support call center.

◦ Spayed/neutered
◦ Up to date on vaccinations and flea prevention
◦ Microchipped
◦ A temporary cardboard carrier
◦ A Pasadena Humane adoption packet
◦ A special gift bag with goodies for your new cat and for you!
Can I walk around CatCon with my newly adopted kitty?
For the safety of your new pet as well as our other guests, you will not be permitted to walk the floor after you’ve picked up your cat. If you decide to adopt early in the day, adoption staff will keep your cat safe for you in the Adoption Village until you’re ready to leave.
Do I have to fill out an application to visit with the cats?
All are welcome to visit with the cats in the Paw Promise Adoption Village sponsored by NexGard® COMBO. If you decide to adopt a cat, you will need to fill out an Adoption Questionnaire.
Do you do a home check?
Nope. You can take home your cat the same day as you adopt.
What should I do to prepare my home for my new cat?
We recommend you set up a starter room in your home in preparation for your new cat. Make sure it has a food and water bowl, litterbox, litter, cat bed, toys, and a scratching post. As your cat gets used to his or her new digs, you can slowly start to introduce them to the rest of the house.
What should I expect in my cat’s first week with me?
It might take your new kitty a little time to adjust to his or her surroundings. Be patient and give your furry friend the time and space they need to feel at home with their new family.
