10 Ways I’m More Like a Cat Than a Dog
We’re pleased to bring you this week’s blog from CatCon Special Correspondent Angie Bailey.
I know I spend a lot of time with my cats, so I’m not surprised I share some of their behaviors . Not that I’m complaining or anything — cats have it pretty good. Seriously, who wouldn’t want to be a cat? I’m way more like a cat than a dog, that’s for sure.
Here are 10 ways I’m more like a cat than a dog.
- When the doorbell rings, I’m finding that I hide instead of race to the door.
- When there’s a box delivery, I’m more excited about the box than the person delivering it.
- I’m reserved when I meet new people — I don’t hump their leg like those other types do.
- When someone calls me, I might come, or I might ignore them. I like to keep them guessing.
- I don’t wait until I stink until a bath or shower happens.
- Doctors’ waiting rooms make me nervous, too.
- I can’t stand riding in the back seat of a car.
- I have a strange affinity for chewing on straws, not bones.
- I’ve never bitten anyone, but my claws come out when the situation calls for it.
- Fetch? Fetch it yourself.
