Send Us Your PAWliday Photos!

Some pose coquettishly under the tree. Some proudly don their ugly sweaters for a holiday card. Others reluctantly sit on Santa’s lap so their meow-my can take a photo.
We asked CatConners to share their holiday traditions with their cats, and their meow-velous pics of their kitties. Here are some of our favorite responses from our Holiday 2024 survey!
Send us YOUR PAWliday photos for a chance to be featured in this year’s blog and socials!

“I wish it was Christmas today!”
“I can’t stand waiting till Christmas to give them gifts so we celebrate Christmas all month long ☺️” – Leah C.

“I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, with every Christmas card I write…”
Every year we send out a holiday card and Calvin pawtographs all of them- Ariel H.
They are the star of our holiday family cards to send to friends and family – Michela F.
I have a small hot pink Christmas tree . Instead of ornaments I cover the tree with Christmas cards from all my Instagram cat friends and family. My cats like to sleep under the tree every year. – Teresa B.

Deck the Halls
My Lu likes to sleep in a nylon wreath, which was not intended for her! – Dolores D.

We usually get one of the holiday themed cat houses/scratch pads from Target, and put out a stocking for each cat. On Christmas morning we take a moment to bring down their stockings and give them their gifts including special treats. – Patrick O.

Tony is the Mayor of our snow village. – Kelly D.

I love nativity scenes and decorate with quite a few around the house. It then becomes a game of seeing which pieces the cats will steal and trying to find them! We recently (early Nov) moved our couch and found 3 nativity pieces under it from last Christmas. – Melinda K
The REAL star on the tree
“I only recently started to do this, but every year, I add a new ornament to the Christmas tree that is related to my cats!” – Rosanne L.

We make ornaments with their paw prints to hang on the tree and we hang their own personalized stockings on the fireplace. – Alyssa P.

We try to leave a little space under the Christmas tree for our shy cat to sit under at night. He loves looking up at the tree and laying on the soft tree floor cover. – Arianne B.

“Roxie absolutely loves our Christmas tree. But, contrary to all the cartoons, she loves and treasures each part of our tree. She looks longingly at it, while gently tapping each ornament and watching it sway ever so little. I have beautiful photographs of her doing this and it’s one more way I get to know how very sweet she is.” – Joan M.

“Don we now our gay apparel…”
Cute holiday pictures, filling their stockings with new toys! – Lauren T.

We TRY to take photos in cute outfits, keyword try. – Natalie A.

My boyfriend and I used to put on matching pajamas and find ties that match and take pictures when we had 2 cats but once we got the third cat it got harder to maintain all 3 for a photo! – Lesley M.

Naughty…
We hang all the breakable ornaments high on artificial garland near the ceiling and all the non-breakable (ornaments) on the tree, then spend all December collecting ornaments in the morning that the cats have taken off the tree to play with during the night. – Joline M
My cats have a 4 ft tree with red balls on it. They take them all down and play with them and I keep putting them back all season long! They love their tree! – Judith O

“When my husband and I leave to go to my family’s house for Christmas dinner, we dump a huge stocking full of cat toys so they can terrorize the house full of 50+ cat toys. It’s hilarious to watch and funny to see the mess when we come home a few hours later.” – Daunelle T
They each have their own stocking. They “help” wrap the presents (get cat hair stuck to the tape) and they “help” put the tree up (chew the ornaments).” – Hayley B.

One of our cats, Tofurky, loves to play fetch with little felt balls, which she loses all over the house. Each Christmas we buy her 100 new felt balls and spill them out all over the floor for her to roll around in and go nuts with. – Loni L.

Finding creative ways to keep the cats away from the Christmas tree so they don’t unwrap our gifts for us before the holiday (we don’t often succeed). – Taylor P.
Our cats like to “help” wrap (and unwrap) gifts. We always omit the strings and ribbons on packages though, so they aren’t tempted to eat them. The cats also like to lay under the tree where we have a model train village set up. – Michele

Or nice…
I have a personal tradition of taking catnip mice to local shelters, so my cats like to “help” make mice. – Molly L.
We adopted Leeloo on Black Friday (so we call it Cat Friday), and we always donate to a cat rescue on the day after Thanksgiving and give all the kitties extra treats! – Annette C.

All I want is… MEW!
I actually got my cat Cleo from a shelter in December. She gets cold easily so I like to buy her sweaters and just spoil her in general! She is my little reading buddy, so we usually sit by a Yule log burning in our fireplace as I read. – Catrine C.
We have a tree trimming party where everyone gets dressed up (fur babies too) and enjoy snacks, and we take pictures by our tree and of the festivities. We have all the pictures of past years put around our place. – Yasmin
As a family, we celebrate both Christmas and Hanukkah, so we have some unique traditions. We get together every night for eight nights in a row, and celebrate each night. We light candles (for Sophie’s safety, we have switched to an electric menorah!), and then open one present each night. Sophie is included in this, although she usually likes our discarded boxes and gift wrap more than any cat toy we’ve purchased for her. She also gets an (edible) cat treat from her stocking each night – her version of a Hanukkah miracle. We also have Christmas trees – but after adopting her we had to adapt and switched from the typical pine tree to a white birch with higher branches she can’t reach! – Sara H
